Research Software Project Manager
Alessandra joined King's Digital Lab (KDL) in 2019 as a Research Associate on the AHRC/Newton-funded MaDiH (مديح): Mapping Digital Cultural Heritage in Jordan project and returned in 2023 as Research Software Project Manager. In her current role, she manages internally and externally funded digital research projects, working with the Solution Development Team (SDT), researchers, and institutional partners to support the delivery of sustainable digital scholarship. She has been involved with all projects developed during her time as Project Manager.
Alessandra holds a PhD in Classics from King's College London and is an Affiliate to the Department of Classics. Her publications span Roman archaeology and religion, digital heritage, and the application of digital methods to the study of the ancient world. She has contributed to national and international digital humanities initiatives, including the Infrastructure for Digital Arts and Humanities (IDAH) project at the University of Oxford and, currently supports King's engagement with DARIAH (Digital Research Infrastructure for the Arts and Humanities), fostering collaboration and knowledge exchange across the digital humanities community.
